Some people prefer to have a sailing holiday designed to take them as close to as many archeological sites as possible. There is an increasing demand from the younger sailors to have their blue cruise sail from night spot to night spot with a generous portion of shopping breaks and a pinch of water sports thrown in.

Other blue cruises have been designed for nature lovers wishing to visit the turtle hatching beaches in season. On more than one occasion the blue cruise has been based around visiting gourmet restaurants of the Turkish Coast.

Turkey has over 8,300 kilometers of coastline. To attempt to write a guide for the entire Turkish coast, which would be a very exciting exercise, is a mammoth task we do not endeavor to undertake here.
